Classen Fuhrmanns & Partner advised fashion company Befeni on investment by further investors

Several investors have invested in the fashion start-up Befeni GmbH by way of a capital increase. Classen Fuhrmanns & Partner has legally advised the Befeni GmbH on this matter.

The Befeni GmbH is a fashion company based in Monheim am Rhein. The company offers tailor-made shirts at a fixed price, which are manufactured by hand in their own manufactory in Asia. All tailors are permanently employed at Befeni so that the customers have the opportunity to participate actively in incentivizing the respective tailor. In addition, they can follow each step online – from order to delivery.

Befeni is managed by Maik Ernst, the former CTO of the fintech company Auxmoney which is based in Düsseldorf. Among the investors, alongside with co-founders of Auxmoney, is the entrepreneur Jan Reichelt who sold his software company Mendeley for a two- to three-digit million US dollar amount to the scientific publishing house Elsevier in 2013.

The following advisers of Classen Fuhrmanns & Partner were involved in the transaction: Dr. Dirk Classen (M&A, lead management)
