With this transaction, NEXUS becomes the majority owner of IMP, thereby expanding its portfolio in the field of point-of-care diagnostics and transfusion medicine. As part of the NEXUS Group, IMP and NEXUS/LAB will form the largest network of experts for laboratory, genetics, pathology and transfusion medicine in the German-speaking region. In future, more than 330 employees at 10 locations will work together on specialised LIS- and order-entry-solutions for all laboratory disciplines.
IMP is a specialist provider of information systems for transfusion medicine, HLA, tissue and point-of-care testing and is one of the most established providers in this sensitive medical sector.
NEXUS develops and distributes software solutions for the international healthcare market. The company employs more than 2,000 people, has its own locations in ten countries and serves customers in a further 32 countries through certified distributors.
