Classen Fuhrmanns & Partner advised the owner family of MeBa on sale of its shares to Holcim

Classen Fuhrmanns & Partner advised the shareholders of Mendiger Basalt Group ("MeBa") on the sale of MeBa to Holcim (Deutschland) GmbH ("Holcim").

The transaction includes the acquisition of the Niedermendig and Weibern quarries, the production of natural stone from the company's own quarries and a recycling center for the processing of soil and mineral demolition material in Mendig. By acquiring MeBa, Holcim aims to expand its natural stone portfolio with basalt lava, tuff and trass from the Eifel region and strengthen its position in the circular economy.

The following persons from Classen Fuhrmanns & Partner were involved in the transaction on behalf of the MeBa owner family: Dr. Dirk Classen (M&A), Dr. Achim Fuhrmanns and Frauke Classen.

Acting for Holcim were: Dr. Nico Torka, Dr. Cornelius Karcher and Philipp Lutz (all Raschke von Knobelsdorff Heiser); Dr. Claire Pröbstle and Leonard Biebrach (both Köchling & Krahnefeld); Nicolas Roggel and Marie Mickeleit (both ALTENBURG).
